Motorola MC92N0 - the next generation of rugged mobile devices

Motorola MC92N0Motorola Solutions introduced new gun-shape mobile terminals MC92N0-G – the next evolution in the MC9000 series. The MC9200 will be offered in both Premium (full features) and Standard (basic features) models. The introduction of the MC9200 does not signal the end of life, nor does it replace the MC9190 family of products. The MC9200 and MC9190 will coexist in the marketplace.

Standard konfigurace models are based on MPA3 platform (OMAP 4430 1 GHz processor), have a colour touch display 3,7“ VGA, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi adaptor, RAM 512 MB and Flash 2 GB, operating system Windows Embedded Compact 7 (= Windows CE 7.0) or Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5.3 without MS Office, standard or a long-range laser 1D or digital 2D scanner and 2 Watt speaker.

Premium models are also based on MPA3 platform (OMAP 4430 1 GHz processor), have a colour touch display 3,7“ VGA, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi adapter, RAM 1 GB RAM and Flash 2 GB, operating system Windows Embedded Compact 7 (= Windows CE 7.0) or Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5.3 with MS Office, standard or a long-range laser 1D or digital 2D scanner or a DPM or „Drive License“ 2D imager, 2 Watt speaker, interactive sensor (IST) and an RFID tag for asset management.

Motorola service center offers the operating system exchange on MC92N0: CE 7.0 can be replaced with WEHH 6.5.3 and vice versa. There is no support for other operating systems like Windows CE 6.0, WM 6.1 or Android.
Like at MC9190-G there is a pre-licensed Wavelink TelnetCE coming with the terminal. On CE 7.0 units the Telnet Client is pre-installed, too.

Accessories of MC9190-G is fully compatible with MC92N0, including keyboards, batteries and vehicle cradles. Both models have the same operating specifications (1.8 m drop to concrete, IP64 protection). Internal flash memory may be expanded using standard SD card with max. capacity 32 GB.

All MC92N0-G configurations are shipped with a standard 2200 mAh battery.
